WHAT IS YOUR NAME?
My name is just eight days younger than me; it has been with me through thick and thin. It has basically been part of me from even before I knew how to process anything. We share so much in common which makes it impossible for situations or circumstances to come between us. At the mention of "Joy", I am forced to respond in the affirmative whether I feel like it or not.
Like Naomi, I have had my unfair share of agony from life that has questioned every likeness I have for this very special name I bear. I will be a liar to tell you that I have had joy all my life. The storms of life have hit me hard and deep, misfortune has resided with me for a long time and adversity has consoled me without pity in the city. I have suffered stagnation and I have had tragic losses. In it all, I have chosen to lean more toward my name than my pain. Like a few great people, I have come out of ferocious fire smelling like a rose. I have a defense and covering hidden in my name which is the Joy of the Lord.
